The Radiostars

The Radiostars history start in Italy back in 1994, since the very first days of activity they compose original songs, those songs soon went on a demo tape called "Very Clean". "Very Clean" relative success allow The Radiostars to start stepping on stages all around theyr local area, giving birth to a little phenomenon made of very short shows mainly interrupted due to the violence of the crowd reaction, this thing starts a little misunderstanding that in the future will be hard to die: most of the people belive that The Radiostars are punks. in the meantime the Trio is contacted by some record labels allowing them to realize a vinyl 45 rpm and to appear on some italian compilations. in 1996 the record label Asbury Park ask Them to realize an Album, so in 1997 'Dancing le Cibaou-Cibaou" was released. 15 original songs that bring on record the energy of The Radiostars shows. In the same year the management of the irish group U2 want The Radiostars to step on the "Pop Mart Tour" stage to heat up the crowd of 150,000 at the Reggio Emilia show. Thanks to shows made all'around Europe The Radiostars are noticed by the dutch Freebirds Records that, in 1998, put The Radiostars on a compilation called 'A First Full of Freebirds", international reviews talk about The Radiostars as one of the best act on the entire CD, so Freebird, whit the roman Vurt Records and Alessandro Gandino of Italy decided to produce the second Album of the Trio: "More Traditional Than You" (1999). 1999 is a year of even more frenetic works, "MTTY" is reviewed positively everywhere, from Australia (Jeb Taylor of Hig Beam) to Oregon (Burnside), in italy the authoritative Francesco Battisti of "Mucchio Selvaggio" talks about The Radiostars as one of the best italian Bands of the decade.
In 2001 The Radiostars arrive in the USA with the song "Messa Metronic". The USA label Shut Eye Records publish a compilation of a high level american acts (among them the Motorhead Lemmy Kilmister) and Messa Metronic is on it as well, again The Radiostars song is one of the most acclaimed in the magazines reviews and this time also one of the most asked song on the USA college radio circuit.
In 2003 "For What Might Have Been" the third album of The Radiostars is released, produced by Kymotto Music.
