After two AOR albums released in the Nineties under the name of FARENHEIT, this band from the West Central part of France released a much more modern third album, musically speaking. On top of the melodic lines that they have always developped, FAR'N'HIGH adds a structure both closer to Progressive rock and more aggressive. This resulted in "Attraction Of Fire", published in 1999 on the Brennus label, showing real maturity and great richness. There is no doubt that this major opus can compete without any complex with a large number of European productions of Progressive heavy-metal music. In spite of a lengthy expectation and a significant change of line-up, the new album "Day Off" (2005) belies the sad and the malicious-minded ones as this album is even more acomplished. FAR'N'HIGH play their melodic heavy-metal music tinged with Progressive rock with much relevance, a bit in the vein of QUEENSRYCHE or SYMPHONY X.
