Purl

Ambrose Freeman-Toole (aka Purl) is an independent musician from Pullman, Washington. His music can be simply described as "eclectic", though his music is certainly not simple. Complex, innovative, and dark the music of "Purl" is a blend of alternative rock, ambient sounds and industrial textures.

In The Noctis Labyrinth, released in 2003 on OtterSong Records, is his first official release. Having created three self-produced albums by the age of 17, Ambrose is no stranger to the songwriting and music production process.

Comparisons with other alternative rockers can be made, but "alternative" falls short of describing the sometimes otherworldly places this music takes you. Somewhere between Smashing Pumpkins and Bill Laswell, Ambrose Freeman-Toole finds a voice that is unique.
