Revolving around the core trio of German electronic musicians, Markus Reuter (Europa String Choir) and Bernhard Woestheinrich (The Redundant Rocker), along with English singer Tim Bowness (best known for his work with No-Man), Centrozoon began life in 1998 as an outlet for improvisation and textural experimentation. Evolving into into an increasingly song-based project that provides a unique blueprint for the possibilities of the 21st Century pop group, Centrozoon creates an intriguing musical hybrid that mixes menacing atmospheres, electro-acoustic experimentation, impossible beats and hypnotic balladry to powerful effect.
