The Floating World is the amazing new album from Sonic Pulsar mastermind Hugo Flores. Project Creation is Hugo's most ambitious project so far, with 9 talented musicians playing along, and an original storyline that is also giving birth to an incredible 3D videoclip. The music floats around the progressive rock genre, mixed with other styles like ambient, jazz and metal. The compositions were sculpted around each step in the storyline.
This is an album that is epic in scope and engaging for the mind and ears! A terrific journey through music and space.
"Project Creation part I - The Floating World" tells the story of a dying planet, whose advanced Civilization develops a world-like ship, capable of carrying millions of people. In the beginning, this ship leaves the planet, with about 40% of the population, in search of a possible World to live in (the voyage lasts for about 5 years). Their goal, and meaning of life, is to create, give birth to dead planets and search for possible planets to live in. They find a dead rock and create an artificial sun to rapidly develop life and suitable conditions . A pyramid is built to mark their creation - Cheops (track 13). The pyramid is also created so that their children, growing up there, might know that they're not alone and that their friends shall be back. Then they return to their home planet, to "pick up" the rest of the population, and continue their odissey...
The “Mechanical Dragonflies” are semi organic beings living inside the Floating World. They are thought controlled by the ship's commanders and scientists. They also help to energize the planet with mechanical lullabies, produced by their Meka-Organic vocals chords.
