Album #2 - Following Guy Mannings' success with his mostly solo album "Tall Stories For Small Children", it persuaded him to get his own 'group of musicians' together. Along with Tangent/Po90 man Andy Tillison on keyboards, long time friend Simon Baskind on drums and Jonathan Barrett on bass,he augmented the sound of symphonic keyboards with a violinist (Ian Fairbairn) and a superb jazz saxophone player, Laura Fowles.
Much more dark than "Tall Stories...", "The Cure" (2000) is an epic concept album in three acts and recalls Pink Floyd/Roger Waters, Genesis and, of course The Tangent & PO90
The band worked on these pieces for long periods to polish the instrumental breaks with great keyboard and guitar interplay.
