THE HEALING ROAD is the instrumental project by German keyboardist HansPeter HESS, aptly assisted by numerous guests on guitars, keyboards and drums. And that's just part of the list. His music is a mix of catchy and dreamy sequences, with dynamic rhythms. Inspired by a national park in the Canary Islands, the second opus "Timanfaya" (Musea, 2008) displays nine suggestive and melodious tracks, really diverse as far as rhythms and atmospheres are concerned. His skilful and lively keyboards playing and composing style recall GENESIS or EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER, with some more agressive and wild moments ala DREAM THEATER, without even mentioning some electro hints. The booklet includes some paintings by Herbert WANDERER, underlining the mix of meditation and energy conveyed by this beautiful and refreshing music.
