The debut album from Unifaun captures the very essence of Genesis music between 1972-1980. We get Banks-like organs and mellotrons reminding of 72-74, long melodic and at times quite complex songs but also a couple of shorter tracks that could have been written for "Lamb lies down" as well as for "Duke". Hackett-style guitar playing, as well as jumpy bass lines, in the style of Mike Rutherford is part of the album and, the part where many bands in the Genesis tradition fail, a very fine vocalist who could have been named Phil Gabriel - style and vocal sounds somewhat like a young Peter Gabriel with the more rhythmic attack that was a trademark for Phil Collins. Unifaun is a must for Genesis fans.
