A fan of multiple innovative adventures, Fabien TEHERICSEN keeps on making musical incursions between John COLTRANE and BARTOK. Since the NPTOLPQSIVRT adventure, the French composer has directed symphonic orchestras, worked with KarlHeinz STOCKHAUSEN, Louis SCLAVIS, The ARDITTI QUARTET as well as Chinese traditional musicians. His contemporary music is a sequel of these experiences ! This time, he's enthusiastically accompanied by a string sextet whose amazing technique allow it to follow him into the paths of "Algues" (1997). The star here is not the seaweed ("Algue" in French), but a little village of the same name in the Aveyron department (France). Issued on Gazul, this album comes from the ballet music "Aimées", presented for the first time at the Dance Biennial of the Val-de-Marne in 1995 by the COMPAGNIE CRE ANGE. Not to be missed !
