Driven by the completely Guilmourish guitar soloing and the Wrightsih keyboard textures, in an obvious reference to Pink Floyd, Dan Cowen's project Dyonisos delivers us now his 5th album of originals.
While the frame of the music that consists in this An Incidental Collection is still absolutely related to tributing the stylings of Pink Floyd, this time around it seems more focused in the later stages of that band, the Guilmour era.
There are still some passages that remind the DSoTM style, but the main course of action in this particular album is pretty much catalized by the latest two albums of the inspirational band, along with deep connections to the first two solo albums of Guilmour. Meaning that the music here is a bit less spacey and more Neo-PF inspired.
In a way, this album presents us music that comes very close to the second RPWL.
