Killing Kind started out to be what Sahib had intended to be a mostly blues album. The blues tracks are present, check out the tunes Dont Bother, and the title track The Killing Kind. On such tunes as these Sahib, exhibits his slide guitar playing abilities. The title track along with the song, When The Devil Comes A Callin, are acoustic blues numbers, while songs like Hurting and Bleeding, and Dont Bother, offer more of a blues rock sound. As on past albums, Sahib also delves into some of his story telling, and experimental sounds on the songs, Restless In Panama, One Last Time, and Callies Revenge.
Once again Sahib weaves his tales, and sounds in only the way that he can. What began as a blues dominate album, turned into much more than that. Possibly his most bizzare work yet.
