BRUTAL ARCHITECTURE (1995)

Rocket Scientists is an astounding blend of past, present and future, drawing on influences both new and old. Led by producer / keyboardist Erik Norlander and vocalist / guitarist Mark McCrite, the band paints broad sonic landscapes with their unique brand of progressive rock on their second album, Brutal Architecture. The Brutal Architecture album is driven by the kinetic rhythm section of Don Schiff (Chapman Stick) and Tommy Amato (drums) who also appear with Norlander and McCrite on the band\\\'s follow up live release from their 1997 European Tour, Earth Below and Sky Above, the title of which is taken from the song 'Millennium 3' on this album.

Rocket Scientists' 1993 debut album Earthbound captured international acclaim from fans of both progressive and pop music. Their follow up release, Brutal Architecture, took the band into more experimental waters with long, instrumental pieces with stylized solos contrasted by Beatlesque vocals and sharp studio production. The band's third studio album, Oblivion Days from 1999, added a heavier and more aggressive sound that expanded the group\\\'s audience, but the grace and style of Brutal Architecture remains poignant and stirring still.

The Rocket Scientists musicians can also frequently be found playing on the albums on symphonic rock diva LANA LANE.
