LUEN-TA is a French band from Rouen, where it began in 1996 under the name of NEUROBLAST. In 1998, the band changes its name and shows influences such as DEATH, CYNIC, ATHEIST, NOCTURNUS, PESTILENCE, CHILDREN OF BODOM or MONSTROSITY... Produced by Alexis PHELIPOT (MISANTHROPE, KRISTENDOM…) and released on the Thundering label in 2003, "Ghost Area" imposes a style. The technical death-metal rock of the beginnings enhances with present sounds and frosty atmospheres, which provide this major opus with a more accomplished aspect. The band has become a master in the art of providing compositions that mix technical and brutal natures. The combo shows brilliantly that instrumental technique suits quite well the devastating power of infernal riffs ! LUEN-TA has achieved such a level of instrumental mastery that it seems to be today one of the few you can’t ignore on the European stage. Above all, it embodies both a kind of renewal and revival of the genre !
