Pat Mastelotto Joins Mindawn

Pat is a legendary drummer who has played with both King Crimson and Mr. Mister (and many others). Pat has just loaded 7 of his solo/side projects up on Mindawn with more rare and out of print CD's and videos to follow soon.

THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SELECTS MINDAWN

Mindawn, a revolutionary new online music and video service, has been selected by the University of California system as a partner to provide music and video to their approximate 200,000 large student population.

Universities across the country are facing increasing pressure to curb the practice of individuals distributing digital files of copyrighted songs and movies without permission on university networks. As creators and owners of intellectual property and licensed technology, UC has a strong commitment to upholding intellectual property laws, including the need to protect against the illegal sharing of copyrighted materials in digital format, which is where Mindawn comes in.

Ryo Okumoto Joins Mindawn

I had the occasion to hook up with Ryo last night at a Genesis tribute band performance and tell him about Mindawn, he was immediately excited and told me he'd love to have his material on Mindawn and had a ton of stuff he wants to put on, but we've started with his recent solo album "Coming Through". For those of you who don't know Ryo, he's an amazing keyboard player that has worked with many amazing musicians, notably he's the keyboardist for Spocks Beard and Natalie Cole.

Nightmare Records Joins the Fold

We're very pleased to welcome our long time friends at Nightmare Records have decided to join our growing family. Nightmare has a great collection of music, including some really cool out of print material that you won't be able to get anywhere else. As usual, you'll see their material start to show up in the coming days.

Rock Sympony Joins Mindawn

Rock Symphony, the popular purveyors of Brazilian rock, have now joined us here at Mindawn. Founded in 1997, Rock Symphony is a powerhouse in Latin America and is also responsible for the massive "Rio ArtRock Festival". Their artists include such favorites as "Tempus Fugit" and "Ashtar". Look for their catalog to start appearing next week. Welcome to the family!

French Label Powerhouse Musea Joins Mindawn

We are extremely pleased to announce that French label Musea has joined Mindawn. This will include all of their sister labels as well, resulting in approximately 10,000 new tracks being added to Mindawn that aren't available electronically anywhere else.

Galileo Records Joins Mindawn

And the friends keep coming. We're glad to welcome Swiss based Galileo Records to the ever expanding list of labels and artists. Look for their fine catalog to begin showing up shortly.
