Chris Brooks

Hailing from Sydney, Australia, guitarist/composer Chris Brooks delivers an exciting and diverse playing and compositional style. With the success of his independant solo release "The Master Plan" (2002) and guest appearances on other artists' albums, Brooks has created a reputation within the instrumental and progressive rock scenes as a talented musician first, a highly gifted guitar player second.

Chris' debut solo album 'The Master Plan' is a must-have album for fans of dazzling guitar work, melodic themes, and a progressive approach to instrumental music influenced by artists like Garsed/Helmerich, Liquid Tension Experiment/Dream Theater, and Vinnie Moore. The album received glowing reviews and comments from critics, fans, and fellow musicians alike. One of the latter includes Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess, who said on his website, "Chris is an amazing guitarist!". Others who have publicly praised Brooks' music include Melbourne DJ Peter Fundeis, who described Brooks as "not just an extremely talented songwriter/guitar-player and multi-instrumentalist, but also someone who knows how to record, produce, and arrange songs of the highest standards", and bass player extraodinaire Randy Coven, who said "AMAZING!
