ENGEL is the name chosen by Miguel Angel De La LLAVE JIMENEZ, an impressively inspired multi-instrumentist (Violin, bagpipes, flute, harmonica, xylophone, keyboards, bass, percussions...). Helped by many singers (Both male and female), our Spanish fellow invites us to discover his first eponymous album, recorded during the year 2002. At this occasion, he builds up a very beautiful piece of work, really haunted. If the dominant influence has to be found somewhere near Mike OLDFIELD’s Celtic music, this rock and ethnic blend also includes Mediterranean and Oriental elements, as well as sometimes meditative atmospheres.
