Nevertheless, the contents of the LORD OF MUSHROOMS CD show that it would be pointless to use any typical conclusions, such as A very promising debut, etc, regarding the first album of this band. When listening to the album, youll have the impression that you hear very mature musicians. By the way, their approach to composing progressive music is typical for American performers rather than European ones. Their songs are both complex and melodious, and also both intricate and accessible, which is quite a rare case on the todays scene of Progressive rock. Apart from symphonic textures, the guys, in addition, use those of a light jazz-fusion, the roots of which can be found in the creation of IZZ, ECHOLYN, and ANIMATOR.
