Based in Seattle, Washington, USA, Lyranthe is a band with influences from such bands as, Nevermore, Kings X, Evergrey and Dream Theater. Most of the members of this band are well schooled in music, thus making their CD full of complex parts, pulsing rhythms and well placed melodies. The solo sections are carefully thought out and each song is original in its own way. Powerful, soaring vocals compliment the incredible musicianship of this 70 mintute CD. Will Anderson and Rain de Leon provide a rock solid rhythm section that is the foundation for the clever tracks. Bassist Rain de Leon may very well be the best female bassist in Prog today.
