"Enneade" (1987) is exclusively made of previously unreleased tracks by French bands and musicians inspired by Zeuhl music, either musically or historically. A lot wider than a simple musical style, this true religion was originated by MAGMA. Founded in 1969, this band came directly from the rich imagination of Christian VANDER, unpredictable and virtuoso drummer, as well as an incredible vocalist. The track-list of this compilation includes compositions of TROLL, ZALPH, Bernard PAGANOTTI (MAGMA & WEIDORJE), Yochk'o SEFFER (MAGMA & ZAO), ESKATON, François "FATON" CAHEN (MAGMA & ZAO), SHUB-NIGGURATH, EIDER STELLAIRE, MUSIQUE NOISE, FARBEN and ALTAÏS. The only exception to the rule is the contribution by Belgian band UNIVERS ZERO, but it has to be said that drummer Daniel DENIS was part of MAGMA for some time in 1973, and that his current band is the undisputed leader of new musics. For a long time out of stock, the CD version of "Enneade" had become a very rare collector's item. It is now re-issued for the great happiness of the numerous fans. This album is a must for any Zeuhl fan, but also an ideal introduction to this unique universe...
