Shyheim first burst into our consciousness in 1993. Turning the focus on himself and his gritty ghetto surroundings, this associate of the Wu-Tang swaggered and bounced, brilliantly representing his mandate -- "to rap out the realness in the street." Presenting vivid, high-resolution images from his Staten Island hometown, the five-foot shortie stirred a big buzz. He gained fans and won accolades for his inspired Virgin Records debut, "AKA The Rugged Child," which included smash singles like "On And On" rose to No. 7 on the Billboard R & B Album chart. Shyheim then released a second album in 1996, "The Lost Generation," and returned to the mic to record his third album "Manchild," in 2000. "The Greatest Story Never Told" features classic Wu-Tang production and successfully transitions Shyheim from adolescent thug to astute street philosopher.
