Trent is affiliated with BMI as both publisher and songwriter. He is a voting member of N.A.R.A.S. (National Academy of Recording Arts &
Sciences) and also a member of the National Music Publishers Association.

Trent has produced music with many renown artists such as Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Steve Walsh (Kansas), Tony Levin (John Lennon, Pink Floyd and others), Steve Howe (Yes), Terry Bozzio (U.K, Missing Persons), as well as a long list of successful artists (on his various production side projects - Explorers Club, Leonardo The Absolute Man, which includes members of Dream Theater and others).
