While Henning Pauly was working on Chain and wondering what to do for a vocalist, Matt Cash happened to come to him to produce his solo album "Crash Down". Ultimately Henning only worked on part of the album, but a friendship was made and it turned out that Matt was a great choice for the Chain vocalist. In addition Matt helped write lyrics for the Frameshift project that Henning did with James LaBrie of Dream Theater, and is also a featured vocalist and lyricist on the upcoming Baby Steps project that Henning is working on now. Matts solo album "Crash Down" is more in the contemporary pop rock vein with catchy lyrics and musical passages. You'll find yourself humming the songs long after the album has ended.
