KLOTET is another Progressive rock band coming from Sweden. Founded in 2004, the quartet offers its first self-titled album four years later on the Musea label. The musicians play a personal brand of instrumental Progressive rock, through fourteen concise tracks, full of a very special flavour. Based on the organ and Fender Rhodes sounds, the atmospheres recall the early Seventies, especially (According to the band itself) the swedish bands of those times, and musicians like Bo HANSSON. It's a very dynamic and lively music, sometimes even frantic, with melodies typical of the Scandinavian Scholl we all appreciate in Progressive rock. Included are some unquiet harmonies ala KING CRIMSON. KLOTET's music is enhanced by a roaming bass, and played with a constant enthusiasm. An excellent and really original album, to be discovered !
