AMETHYST is the name of a French jazz-rock fusion band, composed of Fabrice CHANGEL (Drums & percussions), Frédéric CHARPENTIER (Bass) and Rodrigue LECOQUE (Keyboards). Published on the Great Winds label in the year 2006, the band's first album "Naissance" is composed of seven mid-long instrumental pieces, with intense and often festive atmospheres. AMETHYST's music is in a vein near WEATHER REPORT, Pat METHENY GROUP, BRAND X or SPYRO GYRA.
